Heating work in Bath's older homes
The whole city of Bath is a World Heritage Site. It has nearly 5,000 listed buildings, and about two-thirds of the city is a conservation area. A lot of homes are Georgian or Victorian, or flats converted from them.
That matters for heating work. Repairs are straightforward. But fitting a new flue through a front wall, or moving a boiler in a listed building, can need listed building consent from Bath & North East Somerset Council. We'll point out anything that might need consent before we quote, so a job doesn't stall halfway.
Converted flats often have a combi boiler in a cupboard and long pipe runs to the radiators, which is where sludge and cold radiators tend to show up. A water test tells us what's in the system before you pay for a clean.
In central Bath, parking can add time to a visit. If you have a permit space, a driveway or a visitor permit, tell us when you book.

Is there a travel charge for Bath?
No. Bath (BA1 and BA2) is part of our main area, so you pay our standard callout prices.
